TrEST Research Park registered as a company

TrEST has been registered as a not-for-profit Co under section 8 of the Companies Act 2013 with 100% capital from Govt of Kerala on 24 the March 2013. The Co started functioning from the College of Engineering Trivandrum premises. Park started functioning from a temporary facility inside the School of Management building in CET campus.

TrEST Director Board meets

The Board of Directors of TrEST Board met today. Along with routine matters a Project Proposal for construction of the Park by seeking financial assistance from Govt presented by the CEO was discussed. The Board approved the proposal and decided to forward the proposal to Govt for funding. The Board also decided to write to Govt for transfer of the 4.36 acres of land in the CET campus to TrEST, acquire 10 acres of land in the proposed campus of KTU for expansion of TrEST Park and infusion of more funds to TrEST. Board also finalised the logo for TrEST research Park.

VSafe HiTech Solutions

VSafe HiTech Solutions has been admitted as a Prospect Member in TrEST Park. VSafe is into security solutions for the transport sector. They also have many other products planned in the electronics and sofware fileds. They will work in collaboration with the Electronics & Communications department of College of Engineering Trivandrum. Prof Jiji CV, Head of the department, E&C, CET said ” VSafe discussed some interesting projects with us. We will be happy to associate with them in development of these products. Mr. Rajesh, GM VSafe said that they are excited about the synergy that CET and TrEST Park can bring to their product development plans“.

Cetronics becomes a member

Cetronics Technologies Pvt Ltd has become a member of the Park. Cetronics is a start up promoted by engineers with nearly four decades of experience in the design and development of embedded products with RF subsystems. The company wants to interact with electronics / Computer / Mechanical departments of the college for development projects in defense and allied area.”

TrEST Research Park organises brainstorming session

A brainstorming session to finalise the objectives, framework and priorities of the Park was conducted in the office of the Principal Secretary, Higher Education on 3rd March 2016. The meeting was attended by Mr. B Srinivas IAS, Principal Secretary Higher Education, Dr Gangan Prathap, Chairman, TrEST Research Park, Dr Kuncheria P Isaas, Vice Chancellor, APj Abdul Kalam Technical University, Dr. K Vijayakumar, Director of Technical Education, Mr James Joseph, Joint Secretary Finance, Govt of Kerala, Dr S Sheela, Former Principal CET, Dr J David, Principal CET, Dr Krishnakumar, Professor CET and Coordinator TrEST Research Park, Prof Anil R, Centre for Continuing Education CET and Mr Radhakrishnan Nair, CEO TrEST Research Park.
