8th Board Meeting of TrEST Park was conducted on 16.03.2019 (saturday) at 11:00am.

Session by Dr. Charan Gurumurthy, Director Systems & Components Engineering on topic Glimpses of Semiconductor Fabrication was conducted on 13.02.2019 at CET EC Dept. He manages a worldwide engineering team responsible for end to end integration of components and systems across all Business Units of Intel. He joined Intel in 2002 and has made pioneering contributions to High Density Interconnect (HDI) Substrates and “Real Sense” Imaging that has positioned Intel’s Technology at a competitive advantage in the industry. Prior to Intel he worked at IBM’s Microelectronics Division & IBM T.J. Watson Research Center. Charan has a Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering from Cornell University and a B.Tech degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT). He has authored 55+ patents and 15+ journal publications. He currently serves as Associate Editor for IEEE Transactions on Advanced Packaging. He has won numerous Intel and external awards for his contributions including “IEEE Engineer of the Year” award in 2015.

Govt of Kerala vide GO (Rt) No 123/2019/H.Edn dt 25/01/2019 has reconstituted the Board of TrEST Park with Sri. S. Somanath S, Director, VSSC, Trivandrum as Chairman and eleven other members including the CEO.

TrEST has been registered as a not-for-profit Company under section 8 of the Companies Act 2013 with 100% capital from Govt of Kerala on 24 the March 2013. The Co started functioning from the College of Engineering Trivandrum premises. On 24.01.2019 Company started functioning from a New Office space opposite to CET (TC – 4/2322, GEM building, OPP. to CET, Kulathoor Rd., Sreekariyam, 695016.

The new office space of TrEST (Trivandrum Engineering Science & Technology) Research Park building, located opposite to College of Engineering Trivandrum (CET) is inaugurating on 24th January 2019 by Honourable Minister for Higher Education, Dr. K.T.Jaleel. The event will be attended by Dr K P Indira Devi , Director of Technical Education, Dr Usha Titus I A S, Principal Secretary to Higher Education, Dr. Jiji C.V., Principal College of Engineering Trivandrum, Faculty from CET and other eminent personalities.

Exchange of MoUs between TrEST park and CET , between TrEST park and Hardware Mission and between TrEST park and Open silicon on collaboration on research activities/CoEs was done on 24.01.2019.

Govt of Kerala vide order No GO (Rt) No. 1312/2018/H.Edn dt 03/07/2018 appointed Dr. Jayasankar Prasad C. as Chief Executive Officer of TrEST Research Park. He is currently holding the position of CEO of ICFOSS and Project Director of Hardware Mission.
