On January 16, 2025, Trest Research Park hosted a vibrant celebration of National Startup Day
“TrEST Innovation Vortex” at the CETAA Hall, College of Engineering, Trivandrum, in collaboration
with CET. The event brought together a diverse audience of thought leaders, innovators, and
aspiring entrepreneurs for a day of insightful discussions and networking opportunities.
The event kicked off with a warm welcome address by Dr. Rajasree MS, CEO of Trest Research Park,
setting the stage for a collaborative and inspiring day. Following this, Prof. (Dr.) Sabu Thomas, the
esteemed Chairman, delivered an insightful speech, emphasizing the importance of fostering
innovation and entrepreneurship within the community.
The event featured a series of engaging expert sessions. Dr. Nishar Hameed, from Swinburne
University of Technology, Australia, shared his expertise on translating advanced materials from the
laboratory to the market. Dr. Nisa Salim presented cutting-edge advancements in multifunctional
materials and composites, highlighting their potential real-world applications. Mr. Jyothis Indirabhai,
CEO and co-founder of Netrasemi, provided valuable insights into the challenges and opportunities
within India’s burgeoning semiconductor startup industry.
The event also showcased the contributions of TIERA, a key player in developing versatile and
affordable test and measurement solutions. Entuple E-Mobility, a leader in electric vehicle
technology, presented their innovative solutions for a sustainable future.
The event concluded with an interactive open forum, providing a valuable platform for students to
engage with experts, exchange ideas, and gain inspiration for their entrepreneurial journeys.
