Project Expo | INVENTO 2026
The Project Expo, held as part of the National Techno-Cultural Fest INVENTO 2026, was organized by the TrEST Research Park Satellite Centre at Government Engineering College Palakkad in association with the IEEE Student Branch GEC Palakkad. Conducted on 30 January 2026 at the Government Engineering College, Palakkad, the expo brought together student innovators presenting hardware-based engineering solutions to address real-world challenges.
The showcased projects demonstrated a strong focus on assistive and inclusive technologies, disaster and emergency communication systems, smart safety solutions, and sustainable engineering practices. Many of these innovations were closely aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), reflecting a commitment to socially impactful engineering.
The event witnessed active participation from students across leading institutions, including Saintgits College of Engineering, Government Engineering College Thrissur, NSS College of Engineering Palakkad, Vidya Academy of Science and Technology Thrissur, Amal Jyothi College of Engineering, Mar Athanasius College of Engineering, St. Mary’s Polytechnic College Palakkad, KMEA Engineering College, Dhaanish Ahmed Institute of Technology, and Indian Institute of Information Technology Kottayam.
The expo served as a dynamic platform for innovation, experiential learning, and interdisciplinary collaboration, reaffirming the shared commitment of TrEST Research Park and IEEE to nurturing a robust, student-driven research and innovation ecosystem.
